Round 1, Game 4 Live Blog: Caps at Flyers

Unfortunately, we are still in Philadelphia for Game Four, where at any minute you could be hit in the face by a glowing plastic bracelet. Let’s hope the Caps can get out of that city tonight not only securing their health and safety, but also with a ticket to the 2nd round.

As I have said previously, only 4 teams in the history of the NHL have been able to come from behind and win a series after starting down 3 games to none. Let’s not put any ideas into the heads of the Flyers and their fans, and just further end their hopes and dreams tonight.

Michal Neuvirth starts for Philly, Taylor Chorney is in for Brooks Orpik and Pierre Hit From Behind Bellemare isn’t. Liveblog below.

First Period

Scott Laughton goes down very awkwardly and needs to be stretchered off the ice. Thoughts out to him. Hate to see stuff like this.

CFTC: Even period IMO. They had a PP and buried one. The 1st and 4th lines have been humming. The defensemen have been too indecisive and sloppy. Let’s get this baby tied up. 1-0 Flyers after 1.

Second Period

Andrew MacDonald scores to make it 2-0. The Caps are playing like garbage.

The Great One is in the building.

CFTC: We are doing nothing 5v5. It’s frustrating to watch. We’ve been good in 3rd periods. Gotta have a real good one now. Flyers up 2-0 after 2.

Third Period

Timothy Leif makes it 2-1.

We have a new bottom 6 to finish this one.

CFTC: Philly hangs on for dear life. Neuvy stole the 3rd period.

Final Score: 2-1 Flyers
