A monumental event took place in Northern Virginia’s Fair Oaks Mall and it ain’t Auntie Anne’s pretzel bites. Michael Latta signed a ketchup bottle.

This is an RMNB RED ALERT, PEOPLE. WE’RE AT DEFCON CATSUP.

According to RMNB reader/regular commenter Gene, this is the very first ketchup bottle Latts has signed.

In case you’re confused as to why someone would ask a professional hockey player to sign a bottle of America’s favorite condiment (feel free to debate this in the comment section), the Caps roomies, Latta and Tom Wilson, made quite a name for themselves in 2014 on EPIX’s The Road to the Winter Classic. It might have involved ketchup, Costco, and the infamous almost-empty refrigerator.

Since then, the roomies have played up their EPIX moment on social media.

Keep that bottle forever, Gene. It’ll be worth something one day.
