Alex Ovechkin has been adopted.
Alex (aka Ovi-Floof) had been interned at the Fairfax County Animal Shelter since his previous owner surrendered him due to his animosity with four-time Super Bowl Champion guinea pig Joe Montana. RMNB reader Blake told us about it, then we talked to shelter director Amanda, and now Ovi the G.P. has a new home with four great Caps fans, where he is watching tonight’s Caps-Habs game.

Thought you might like to know that Ovi the Guinea Pig is watching the game in his new home. His new family is made up of a rescued bassador & 4 diehard Caps fans. His crate will be kept in a place of honor where he can regularly witness his namesake’s gr8ness. Thank you for the article today. We are sucker for rescue animals and crazy about all things Caps.
I told [the shelter] they should rename Joe Montana Braden Holtby or Tom Nicklas Backstrom and they would rehome him today too.

Marta’s family has had a big week.
My kids were completely thrilled by the way – it was the second Caps surprise we gave them in two days.
Yesterday we got to meet Latta and Kuzy at their signing at Fair Oaks Mall. My daughter is 8 has a lot of developmental delays and issues with personal boundaries. Kuzy is her first celebrity crush – she calls him her boyfriend. He was amazing with her so sweet. Let her hug him and held hands with her. Latta was also great but she only has eyes for Kuzy. 🙂 My son was so happy could barely speak. So all we need is a win tonight to make it all pretty perfect. Thank you again for the article & for the stories you share everyday. We are not only huge Caps fans but huge RMNB fans too!
