The Capitals are the NHL’s best team. They’re also its weirdest.
After their shootout win over the Devils on Saturday afternoon, the team held another group hug at center ice. And then they danced.
First, Nate Schmidt– who looks like he just won powerball –gives Ovechkin a huge embrace.
Then the team starts dancing. Oshie and Backstrom air-punch. Michael Latta can’t stop jumping. Oshie is doing some Bob the Builder-inspired moves.
CSN Mid-Atlantic’s Alan May said after the game, “Good teams always have fun, especially when they’ve got great chemistry off the ice as well.”
This is true. From Brobeans taking pictures with dolphins to weird pre-game routines, the Caps are enjoying life right now.
