Your Wish Has Come True: The Brouwer Rangers Are Now TJ Yoshie

TJ Yoshie

After months of rampant speculation (by pretty much only me), RMNB can report exclusively that the super fans formerly known as the Brouwer Rangers are now TJ Yoshie.

Which is what pretty much everyone guessed they would be.

I got the chance to sit down with Ryan (né Ranger Ryan) and Nathan (né Ranger Nathan) to talk about the transition and give us a sneak peek of their new getups. A lightly (and skillfully) edited version of our conversation is below.

Already pleased with what they’ve seen in the preseason, TJ Yoshie and his sidekick Mario have high hopes for their namesake TJ Oshie’s first season in a Caps sweater.

Though they expect to attend fewer games this season than in the past (on the account of both expecting their first babies, one in November and one in January), they do plan on attending the Caps’ home opener against the New Jersey Devils on Saturday night and as many of the early games as possible.

More from our wide-ranging conversation, including their thoughts on the Peter Hassett / Pat Holden blood feud over predictions for Oshie’s production this year and an entirely too long discussion of everyone’s favorite forecaster (Keith, A Coin, duh), is available a special extended collector’s edition director’s cut over on the tubes.

Feel free to ask TJ Yoshie your questions below. And don’t forget to subscribe to RMNB’s YouTube because this may be my only chance to convince Ian and Peter to let me do more weird stuff for you guys in the future.

RMNB is not associated with the Washington Capitals; Monumental Sports, the NHLPA, the NHL, or its properties. Not even a little bit.
