Rapper Kendrick Lamar gave a concert in Finsbury Park of North London on the fourth of July, which I suppose is celebrated a bit differently over there. That doesn’t matter. The point is this: Lamar, a California native, rocked a Washington Capitals Winter Classic hat at the concert.

Lamar’s most recent album, To Pimp a Butterfly, has been getting rave reviews since its release in March. His most recent single, “Alright,” garnered Lamar quite a bit of attention after a provocative performance at the BET awards.

You can see why.

No word on if Lamar is a Certified True Caps Fan (you know, like Snoop Dogg and Justin Bieber) or just a fan of the look. Either way: great rapper with a lot to say and is well worth listening to, and now he’s got a cool hat too.

Big ups to Tom Wilson for letting the world know.
