Last night during the Capitals’ miserable game seven loss to the Rangers, the Kelowna Rockets swept the Brandon Wheat Kings in the WHL Finals. This is good news because Caps prospect Madison Bowey is the Rockets’ captain. He tallied an assist in the game.
This is Bowey’s first junior league championship. He accepted the Ed Chynoweth Cup on behalf of his team and will get to play in his first Memorial Cup a week from now. It’s the Rockets’ first appearance since 2009.
Bowey finished the WHL playoffs leading all defensemen in goals (7) and points (19). My man!
