After the Caps beat the Detroit Red Wings 3-1, head coach Barry Trotz took to the podium like always to answer questions from the press. But tonight his appearance was a little bit different than usual. The 52-year-old bench boss sported a black eye.
I’m guessing the shiner’s a result from the errant stick Trotz took to the face Thursday. But who knows, really? Maybe Trotz is head-butting his players during intermission to inspire better play.
That could also explain this.
