Nine minutes after his five-on-three tally, Alex Ovechkin scored again. This time it was due to a beautiful, well-timed drop pass from Jay… Beagle?
Wait, what? Did I really just type that?
Wow. (GIFs by @myregularface)
Yes, that really is Jay Beagle, authoring the drop pass of the year to three-time MVP Alex Ovechkin.
After he scored, it looked as if Ovechkin mouthed “nice pass” then pointed at Beagle to acknowledge his delicious apple.

Ovechkin now leads the team in goals with eight.
During intermission, Rob Carlin and Alan May could not stop talking about the pass from Beagle.
“Was that Jay Beagle or Wayne Gretzky,” Carlin asked his partner.
“I’m still having a heart attack about it,” May quipped, before joking the NHL was currently adding him to the All-Star ballot.
You guys were also impressed with the pass.

I agree.
@russianmachine time for Beags to hang em up. Just quit right there, cuz it's not getting any better for him than that.
