Amid the chaos of Nicklas Backstrom‘s gold-medal game suspension on Sunday, Washington Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin quietly joined his second social media network, Instagram. The Russian machine chose the subtle username, a0gr8 because modesty. Then he went wild, posting pics of everything Ovi. Let’s catch up.
First: he and Maria in Sochi.
Then: Ovi’s Olympic ID badge and his sweatpants. (Note: don’t Instagram barcodes, kids!)
Then he begged for more levels on Candy Crush, his favorite game, because it’s good to have hobbies.
Here’s Ovi boarding a plane out of Sochi.
But not before saying goodbye, as the closing ceremonies went on in the background.
Some fun advertising on the plane. Maybe they had Sky Mall too?
Another photo with Maria. This is a lot of photos already. If I posted this much, people would unfollow.
And then a jetlagged Ovi returned home to DC and shared my personal favorite: him playing FIFA 14 shirtless with his boy Gus.
