Boy, we missed this. Here’s Alex Ovechkin shooting one-timers from his office.

The Washington Capitals returned to the ice for the first time in four months on Monday for its first day of Phase 3 Training Camp. But I was immediately confronted with an existential crisis. Are the Capitals really back if Ovi’s not back in his office?

Tuesday, everything felt right again as Ovi ambled back into the left circle and slapped one-timers into the back of the net.

Capitals’ puppy Captain stars in the ultimutt re-make of The Office

To celebrate the 15th anniversary of The Office, Capitals’ puppy Captain starred in a fun remake of the iconic show’s opening credits.

The 33-second video shows Captain traveling to his “office” at MedStar Capitals Iceplex. His pawsitively perfect outfit includes a collar and tie.

The show is re-named The Dog Office.

Jim Halpert trolled Pam by bringing Roy to Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final

In a painful twist, the 2019 Stanley Cup Final pitted The Office lovebirds Jim and Pam against each other.

Jenna Fischer, who plays Pam in the sitcom, grew up in St. Louis while John Krasinski, Jim, was born in Boston. The two actors have been playing up the rivalry and taking shots at each other online over the last few weeks.

Wednesday, the beef went next level, when Jim brought Roy, Pam’s old flame, to the game.

John Krasinski attends Stanley Cup Final game in Boston

A few days after Jenna Fischer attended a game of the Stanley Cup Final in her native St. Louis, John Krasinski followed suit.

This year’s Stanley Cup Final series has pitted the two Office lovebirds against each other.

NBC Sports Washington brilliantly edits Alex Ovechkin’s Ovi Spot goals into ‘The Office’ theme

Alex Ovechkin is just like you except he’s really good at hockey. Ovi shows up to his office at 7pm every night and puts in work.

Like clockwork, Ovechkin ambles over to his cubicle — the right face-off dot — and blasts ~~TPS reports~~ one-timers into the net on the power-play. The Russian machine has scored 224 power-play goals in his career, ranking him 10th all-time according to Hockey Reference.

Caps play-by-play announcer Joe Beninati has made many references about Ovechkin scoring from his office, and this week, NBC Sports Washington took that metaphor to the next level.
