In poignant video, Steve Dangle tries to make Caps fans everywhere sob

Friday evening, Steve Dangle released his final Cup Check video of the season. It was an emotional and very poignant reflection on the Golden Knights’ inaugural season, the Capitals’ desperate run at the Cup, and his acknowledgement of how badly he wants that same run from his Toronto Maple Leafs.

And for those of you that did not catch our own Ian Oland‘s tweet about how he filmed his reaction to the Caps Cup win, you can find that in Steve’s video as well at the 10:20 mark.

What if Sidney Crosby was on the Capitals?

The boys over at the fantastic Steve Dangle Podcast brought up an insane hypothetical situation. What would happen if Sidney Crosby and Alex Ovechkin switched teams for this past season’s Eastern Conference second-round matchup?

Steve Dangle pays up on bet, reflects on tremendous first-round series between Caps and Leafs

RMNB Podcast: Steve Dangle talks Caps-Leafs, foolishly agrees on bet for first-round series

I love Steve Dangle and Steve Dangle loves RMNB. My favorite team is the Washington Capitals and Steve’s favorite team is the Toronto Maple Leafs. Oh god. The next two weeks are going to suck, aren’t they?

Monday afternoon, after Steve drank a liter of coffee and I chugged a Red Bull, we spoke somewhat coherently — for 90 minutes to be exact — about the Capitals and Leafs’ first-round playoff series, which begins Thursday at Verizon Center.

We also made a playoff bet that Steve’s really going to regret.

Steve Dangle on if Alex Ovechkin is a Hall of Famer already: ‘Your two options there are agree or be wrong’

On Saturday night, the Washington Capitals played the Toronto Maple Leafs on Hockey Night In Canada. In the run-up to the game, Sportnet’s Steve Dangle took on the controversial topic of Alex Ovechkin and if Ovi’s accomplishments mean anything without a Cup.

The short answer is YES with multiple loud exclamation points.

Prepare your ear drums for some more brilliant hockey yelling from Mr. Dangle (who is amazingly wearing RMNB’s 8-bit hot stick shirt).
