Sonny Milano’s dad read out Capitals’ starting lineup before big win over Islanders

The Capitals made the trip up to New York City on Friday for a couple of games against the Islanders and Rangers and in tow were a bunch of their dads and other family members for the team’s annual mentors’ trip.

To make sure they got off on the right foot against the Isles, head coach Peter Laviolette had Frank Milano, Sonny’s dad, read out the starting lineup before the game on Saturday.

The Caps would go on to win the game 5-1. Frank may have to read the lineup in the locker room for the rest of the reason.

Starting Lineup figures are making a comeback this fall after being shuttered for two decades

After a 21-year hiatus, Starting Lineup figures will return to the marketplace in late September.

Fanatics announced the news in a press release on April 18.

The online sports retailer will partner with toy-maker Hasbro and trading-card company Panini to re-launch the popular and iconic brand.

Washington Nationals Adam Eaton announces starting lineup inside Capitals locker room

On Wednesday, the Washington Capitals asked WNBA champion Elena Delle Donne to announce the starting lineup inside the locker room before their game against the Maple Leafs. The Capitals went on to win 4-3 and after the game, Capitals forward Tom Wilson invited EDD back on his Instagram Story because hockey players “are superstitious.”

Delle Donne did not return for the Caps’ game against the New York Rangers on Friday, but another recent champion did the honor instead.

Outfielder Adam Eaton, a member of the National League champion Washington Nationals, got the Caps pumped up before the game.
