Nic Dowd took his one-year-old son Louie to the rink on Friday and it appears to have been both a joyous and productive practice.
Nic taught Louie how to skate, using the help of a steel trainer, and also propped him in the crease to shoot home some rebounds.
Dad even taught son how to properly celebrate.

Nic and Paige Dowd took their 10-month-old son Louie to St. Cloud State University earlier this week. The college is where the couple first met and also became friends with Nick and Jenner Jensen.
Baby Lou got to skate with his dad at Herb Brooks National Hockey Center and even got his own St. Cloud State jersey.

Monday, Paige Dowd took to Instagram to show off her newest tattoo: her son’s name Lou in a black, thin script on her arm.

Three months later, Louie now has matching sunglasses just like dad.

Thursday, Paige Dowd took to Twitter to show off her four-day-old son’s tiny sweater given to the family by the Capitals.
The Dowd clan started the new year with good news: the birth of baby Louie! Forward Nic Dowd missed the Capitals’ New Year’s Eve game against the Islanders to be with wife Paige as she went into labor with the couple’s first child.
Paige posted pictures of the happy family on Twitter, announcing that Louie was 5lbs 6oz, and born at 8:18pm on New Year’s Eve.
