Mike Green’s family is getting bigger.
Friday morning, the former Capitals defenseman announced that his wife Courtney is pregnant with the couple’s third child, a boy. Courtney wrote on Instagram that the due date of her second is in May 2021.
During the summer of 2017, Mike and Courtney Green bought a fixer-upper in Washingon DC.
Thursday, a proud Mike Green announced the renovations were complete and shared stunning photos of the home.
Former Washington Capitals defenseman Mike Green took his son Axel to the ice rink on Monday morning. His wife, photographer Courtney Parrie, documented the duo’s adorable adventure on her Instagram.
Axel’s day included a skate lesson from dad and an impromptu ride on the zambo.

Early Wednesday morning, former Capital Mike Green and his wife Courtney were celebrating the birth of their first child. Axel Rain Green was born at 5:45 AM. According to Courtney, Axel weighed 7.1 lbs and is 20.5 inches long.
The parents shared photos on social media.

Friday night, Washington Capitals defenseman Mike Green went to the Katy Perry concert with his wife, Courtney. The pop star is playing at the Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary tonight, Green’s hometown. Now some of you out there might think, oh man, that is not an event I would want people to know I’m going to. Instead, Green let a friend take a photo of him and his wife before the show and oh my god do you see what he’s wearing this IS AMAZING.

On Saturday, Washington Capitals defenseman Mike Green got married to longtime girlfriend Courtney Parrie, causing a mild panic among some of our female readers. Details of the ceremony are scant, but a few more photos emerged on Sunday evening.

On Tuesday night, extremely rich and beautiful sports people congregated at the National Building Museum on F. Street for the 10th annual SneakerBall. As described by the SneakerBall website, the event is “the only black tie and sneakers gala that celebrates the best of sports in the region.” SneakerBall awards athletes and sports owners for extraordinary charity work.
Washington Capitals defenseman Mike Green was given with the JB Impact Award, which honors the player who has used sports to most positively impact the area through community service. Green, who was making his first public appearance since getting engaged, does lots for the DC Community and his Canadian homies such as his “So Kids Can” charity, t-shirts, and creating awareness for Calgary Flooding victims.
“It is an honor to receive the JB Impact Award,” said Green in a very press-release-y press release from the Capitals. “I’ve been fortunate to be involved with several projects that have given back to the Washington, D.C., community, and I look forward to another season giving back to those in need through service.”
While you’re happy for Green, you’re just here for the photos of Caps players in suits. It’s okay, I get it.
If you ask me, Karl Alzner hits a homerun with a smart navy blue suit and pants combo. That said, Steve Oleksy also gets points for somehow managing to be in every photo. Also, fake sources tell us that Jason Chimera turned down Tyson Strachan’s invitation to be his date Tuesday.

During the playoffs a year ago, Mike Green was asked about the golden age of the Washington Capitals where he, Alex Ovechkin, Nicklas Backstrom, and Alex Semin were referred to as Young Guns. “Young Guns?” Green said with a laugh then. “We’re not so young anymore.”
Fast forward to today, and the superstars’ personal lives have all changed completely. Ovechkin is engaged to tennis star Maria Kirilenko, Backstrom and his fiancée are expecting a child in October, and now Guest of a Guest’s Sophie Pyle reports that Green has taken the next step in his relationship — getting engaged to two-year girlfriend and George Mason alum Courtney Parrie.
