With his father in attendance, Connor Hobbs scored his first career AHL goal. It ended up being the game winner.
Connor Hobbs has only been playing in Hershey for a few weeks, but that short amount of time has been quite eventful. In a preseason game against Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, Hobbs landed a big hit that he later called “pretty dirty.” A week ago, the defenseman got into his first AHL fight, knocking out his opponent. And Saturday, Hobbs scored his first professional goal.
That goal could not have come at a better time. Tied up in the third period against the Providence Bruins, Hobbs scored a power play goal that boosted Hershey to a 3-2 victory.
