For those of you who would like to support Alex Ovechkin from head to toe, you’re going to love the latest updates to his Nike Store.
Ovechkin’s personal has added around a dozen new items emblazoned with his number eight Nike shield including sweatsuits, hoodies, long-sleeve shirts, polo shirts, and more.
Alex Ovechkin is selling face masks and gaiter scarves featuring his Nike shield. The proceeds will benefit Monumental Sports & Entertainment’s Feeding the Frontlines fund. Ovechkin has also made available the We Will Skate Again Nike shirt that he wore in Miami last month. The proceeds of those tees will benefit The Tucker Road Ducks, a youth hockey team in Prince George’s County, Maryland.
The masks, gaiter scarves, and shirt can be purchased in the Ovechkin Store.
On top of 700 goal merchandise being made available in the NHL store, Nike has published two new shirt designs honoring Alex Ovechkin’s 700th goal as well as a 700 Club hat.
The new merch can be purchased in Alex Ovechkin’s personal Nike store.
Nike made Alex Ovechkin a personal logo shortly after the hockey star signed an endorsement deal with the company eight years ago. Since then, the company has sporadically sold gear with the logo on it. Shirts, hoodies, and hats were available in limited quantities at the Capitals Team Store, Verizon Center, and the Capitals Convention in 2013. Fanatics also sold Nike MVP shirts after the Capitals won the Stanley Cup in 2018 – some of which were made available at local DMV ice rinks. Wednesday, eight individual items featuring Alex Ovechkin’s Nike logo were made available on a website operated by Athlete Performance Solutions, a global licensee of Nike.
The Washington Post’s Scott Allen was the first to post about the opening of the new Ovechkin store. Allen reports that the Capitals captain was involved in the design process and the gear is available to fans in the United States, Canada, and Russia.
