The Washington Capitals got quite the fright when number-one goaltender Logan Thompson appeared to tweak something early in the second period on Tuesday night against the Los Angeles Kings.
Thompson made a point-blank save on Kings star winger Artemi Panarin, but was very slow to get up. He continued to flex and stretch out his left leg throughout the rest of the game.

Thompson was able to finish the night in net, a 5-2 defeat to the Kings, making 21 total saves on the 25 shots he faced.
After the game, RMNB’s Katie Adler asked Capitals head coach Spencer Carbery whether the team had any lingering injury concerns about Thompson.
“Not as of now,” Carbery said. “I’ll talk to Serbs (head athletic trainer Jason Serbus), but nothing right now.”

The Capitals don’t play again until they host the Buffalo Sabres on Saturday night. They are scheduled for three straight days of practice at MedStar Capitals Iceplex until then.
