The Washington Capitals were already going to be without Pierre-Luc Dubois, Connor McMichael, Matt Roy, Logan Thompson, and Charlie Lindgren for tonight’s game against the Carolina Hurricanes. Now you can add one more player to the list.

Thirty minutes before puck drop, the Capitals announced that Martin Fehervary would miss the game due to personal reasons.

While the specific reason for Martin’s absence is unknown, his girlfriend, Natalia, is far along in the pregnancy with their first child.

The 26-year-old defender has 19 points (3g, 6a) in 55 games.

Puck drop against the Hurricanes is at 5 pm.
