The Hershey Bears are in a must-win Game 7 on Wednesday night at Giant Center. After losing three games in a row in the Eastern Conference Finals against the Cleveland Monsters, the Bears need a win to avoid becoming the fourth team in AHL history to lose a playoff series after being up 3-0.
Hershey lost Game 6 on home ice in heartbreaking fashion. Joe Snively scored with 50 seconds remaining in regulation to give the Bears a 2-1 lead but that lead lasted just 17 seconds as Brendan Gaunce sent the game to overtime with a pulled goalie goal.
Aaron Ness and Lucas Johansen remain out of Hershey’s lineup due to injury. The Bears will also be without top goal scorer Ethen Frank after he left Game 6 early with a lower-body injury. Ivan Miroshnichenko has replaced him on the team’s top line.
Pierrick Dubé will be back in action wearing a full, bubble face shield after he took a puck to the face in Game 3. Hunter Shepard will start after not taking the team’s morning skate.
All fans in attendance at Giant Center will receive a free, “All In” playoff t-shirt. The Bears also released a special hype video before puck drop.
Tonight’s game is available to watch on Monumental Sports Network and NHL Network. You can also live stream the game on Monumental’s website and via AHL TV’s streaming service.
