Evgeny Kuznetsov will officially take the ice as a member of the Hershey Bears on Tuesday morning.
The Capitals’ AHL affiliate announced the news on social media a day after the Russian centerman cleared NHL waivers and was assigned to Hershey.
NEWS: Forward Evgeny Kuznetsov is joining the Bears after being loaned by the @Capitals. Kuznetsov, a 2018 Stanley Cup Champion, and a two-time NHL All-Star, is expected to take part in Hershey's practice on Tuesday at GIANT Center.

Kuznetsov will practice with the team at 10:30 am at Giant Center. Like with the Capitals, the practice is free and open to the public.
The Bears’ press release reads:
The Washington Capitals, the National Hockey League affiliate of the Hershey Bears, have loaned forward Evgeny Kuznetsov to Hershey, and Kuznetsov will report to the Bears and is expected to take part in Tuesday’s practice at GIANT Center.
…Kuznetsov will not be available to the media until he has been cleared to play.
According to a Bears representative, Kuznetsov will arrive in Hershey tonight before taking the ice in the morning. He will wear number 92 for the team.
The skate will be the only practice the Bears host at home this week before traveling to North Carolina on Wednesday. The Bears play the Charlotte Checkers on Friday and Saturday at Bojangles Coliseum.

Kuznetsov was reinstated from the NHL/NHLPA Player Assistance Program and entered the follow-up phase on March 2. The program has cleared him to resume practicing.
