Dr. Fauci misses plate with ceremonial first pitch

Dr. Anthony Fauci threw the ceremonial first pitch before the Washington Nationals’ season opener against the New York Yankees, Thursday night.

Fauci wore a Nationals’ gold-trimmed jersey and hat as well as a World Series champions mask.

The doc tried a curveball and it curved way too much.

What Phatty said.

After it was over, Fauci took a socially distant photo with Sean Doolittle who caught the pitch.

The day before, Fauci joked with Jake Tapper that “I hope I don’t bounce it too much.” He did, but I hope he doesn’t sweat it too much. I’m sure he’ll have more opportunities in the future.

Before the celebration on the mound, the Nationals raised a World Series championship flag out in centerfield court.

Let’s go Nats!
