Green Day has a partnership with the NHL and was tabbed to perform during the 2020 NHL All-Star Game in St. Louis. The game was broadcast on network TV (NBC) in the United States and on Sportsnet and the CBC in Canada.
Billie Joe Armstrong may not have gotten the memo because he dropped three expletives during his performance.

“Get you f–king hands up in the air!” Armstrong yelled during Basket Case. Later in the song, he screamed, “Let’s go f*cking crazy!!!”
During American Idiot, Armstrong dropped a different kind of f-bomb.
The expletives were blocked out on NBC’s TV airing of the performance as the audio went silent for about five seconds each time Armstrong cursed.
