The NHL and Green Day have announced a two-year partnership which will make the rock band a featured part of national hockey games moving forward on NBC. The song “Fire, Ready, Aim” from Green Day’s new album “Father Of All…” will be used as the opening theme song for both NBCSN’s Wednesday Night Hockey and NHL games on NBC.
According to the NHL, songs from Green Day’s new album will be featured in game highlights. The partnership includes performances and an appearance by the band at the 2020 Honda NHL All-Star Game in St. Louis.
In a preview of the clip, the band can be seen playing the song on an ice rink while NHL superstars, including Alex Ovechkin, sing along.

Green Day will embark on a global stadium tour with Fall Out Boy and Weezer. The Hella Mega Tour presented by Harley-Davidson kicks off June 13 in Paris and will visit cities throughout Europe, the U.K. and North America.
