Pete DeBoer joined a rapidly growing list of fired head coaches on Wednesday night. The Sharks, sixth place in the Pacific division, announced they have relieved DeBoer of his duties.
Don’t worry though: it’s just because their team is bad.

The Sharks have a 15-16-2 record, far below expectations. Those results appear to be driven primarily by poor goaltending, specifically from Martin Jones. The team’s 88 percent saving during five-on-five play is the worst in the league.
DeBoer has been head coach in San Jose since 2015 and had multiple years left on his contract.
