On Friday the Washington Capitals dropped just their third game in regulation this season, but a banged up team without any rest now has to face maybe the best team in the league. the Boston Bruins. This will probably be Washington’s toughest game of the month.
Catch it at 7 PM. The divine Elyse has recap duty, which means she’ll try to start some static on Twitter about something silly at the first intermission like always.

Just Wanna Give a Shout Out…
…to Galarian Weezing, my new smokestack poison/fairy-type boy whom the youngsters think looks like a bong. He is not a bong. He is my special pollution boy, and he is the icon of our late-capitalist hellworld. He has a handlebar mustache made of toxic waste. I love him.
Storylines
- The Caps had to send goalie Ilya Samsonov to Hershey to clear the salary cap. Travis Boyd has been recalled, as has backup goalie Vitek Vanecek.
- There will be no supplemental discipline for Alex Ovechkin‘s huge hit on Drouin from Friday night. But…
Jonathan Drouin’s injury has nothing to do with the Alexander Ovechkin hit, sources say. So it’s not related to a concussion, a head injury or a neck injury. @CanadiensMTL

- The Caps were injured last night and had a defender playing as a forward against a solid Montreal team. Consequently, they played their worst game of the season.
- The Caps have hit the twenty-game threshold, so Peter (that’s me / hi) is doing his Twenty Games In series.
- In that series, Washington’s PK is good— but they’re gonna face one of the best PP’s in the league tonight.
The King
Aileen and I watched The King on Netflix this week. It was fine, but if you’re going to do an adaptation of Shakespeare’s Henry plays, you’re going to have a hard time besting the Branagh.
Scorn. And slight regard.
Now let’s see if I can watch The Mandalorian before the game tonight. NO SPOILERS. This means you, Chris.
