Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin returned to DC earlier in the week and begun practicing with the team at MedStar Capitals Iceplex. Thursday, he made a quick trip back to Miami to pick up his wife Nastya and newborn son Sergei, who was born on August 18th.
Nastya posted a video on her Instagram story of the family inside of a plane, with text that text reads “Off to Washington DC.” Sergei is in a baby carrier, and new papa Ovi makes sure he’s carefully tucked in.
While we’ve seen pictures of Ovi in scrubs after the birth of his son, this is the first time we’ve seen them together. And it’s really cute.
