Evgeny Kuznetsov doesn’t break, scores pivotal odd-man rush goal

So, I think Evgeny Kuznetsov is alright after all.

After leaving Game Two with injury and being a game-time decision for Game Three, Kuznetsov’s odd-man rush goal in the second period to put the Caps up 2-0 off a perfect wristshot seems evidence enough that, yeah, he’s fine.

TJ Oshie first blocked a shot.

Jay Beagle helped break the Caps out of their zone with speed. At his flank, Kuznetsov carried the puck from neutral all the way up to Marc-Andre Fleury’s face.

Kuznetsov probably considered a pass to Jay Beagle, but come on. He shot, he scored.

Kuznetsov did the bird-walk celebration.

Ovechkin roared to the heavens.

Kuznetsov’s goal, his 12th, follows this, rather, um, high hit on Brayden McNabb.

Things are good in Chinatown right now.
