Andre Burakovsky backs up his word, scores against the Columbus Blue Jackets

Earlier on Thursday, teen idol Andre Burakovsky had a bold prediction for the evening’s Blue Jackets game. “It’s going to be a really fun moment for us to end it,” Yung Dre said of Columbus’s nearly historical winning streak.

Then Burakovsky put his hockey stick where his mouth is.

John Carlson chipped the puck from the blue line up to the Tiger Beat pin-up with a million dollar smile. Burakovsky caught it in the slot and released a clean wrist shot. Bobrovsky didn’t stand a chance.

John Tortorella played his role as miserly crank perfectly, challenging the goal for a potential offside. The officials let the goal stand.
