Something seems very off about this Columbus Blue Jackets hat Target is selling 🤔

The Washington Capitals and Columbus Blue Jackets met in the first round of the 2017-18 postseason. The Capitals ultimately won the series 4-2, and advanced to the second round.

However, the universe decided it wasn’t quite done trolling the Blue Jackets just yet.

On Tuesday, Peter J. Tunkis posted a picture of the above Blue Jackets hat on Twitter. Nothing unusual about that, right? Look a little closer at the brim…

It says Washington Capitals. No, you’re not imagining things.

The Blue Jackets Twitter account, as always, responded in its usual fashion.

According to Tunkis, the unique hybrid hat was on sale at Target in Lennox Town Center, Columbus, OH.

Target’s customer service account has since responded, and informed the store to remove the item from sale.

According to a later update, the hat was nowhere to be found.

Perhaps somewhere, out there in the wild, the hybrid Columbus-Washington hat lives on.
