Washington Capitals players weren’t at home for Easter Sunday as the team played the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden that night. But on Monday, Easter was celebrated in style during the team’s off day.

At the Stromes’ annual Easter egg hunt, the Easter Bunny made an appearance, but with a new human inside.

Ryan Leonard replaced Dylan Strome in the furry suit, as revealed by Dylan’s wife Tayler.

“Easter bunny torch has been passed @ryan.leno_4,” she wrote.

Leonard, I mean, the ever-so-magical Easter Bunny, posed for a photo with the family’s two older daughters, Weslie and Emerson. By the family’s trampoline, he even began hopping to show off his dedication to the craft.

Dylan had previously dressed up as the Easter Bunny in the past, both for his own kids and for his teammates’.

While it’s unclear how long Leonard will hold this distinguished honor, he clearly had the energy and humbleness needed for such an important job. What a teammate.
