Not only has Cole Hutson brought his hockey talent to the Washington Capitals, but he’s also brought along his influencer skills to the team.
Hutson, the co-founder of the popular TikTok, @ColesCoffeeReview, recorded a new episode while on the road with the Capitals in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Without his usual review partner, former Boston University teammate Cole Eiserman, Hutson turned to another American hockey player to add some star power to his show: Capitals rookie forward and close friend Ryan Leonard.

“What’s up, guys. I’m Cole,” says Hutty The Influencer. “I don’t have the other Cole here right now, but I’m at Crazy Croffles in Salt Lake City, Utah. I’m drinking one of the best coffees I’ve ever had. I got a Biscoff latte and I’ll give it a review. I give it a 9.3. Ryan what do you think?”
“I have the same coffee, really good latte,” Leonard responded. “I probably give it a 9.5. It’s really good.”
“9.3 and a 9.5,” Hutson says. “Best coffee I’ve had in a long time. Please come check it out.”
He then leaves a special message for his former review partner, New York Islanders’ draft pick Cole Eisterman, who is currently signed to an ATO with the AHL’s Bridgeport Islanders.
“Eisy, sorry you couldn’t be in this one. Love you, bro. See you soon.”
The brilliance in the ratings are their simplicity. The two Capitals stars give out numbers without justifying why or giving any details about the drink they just consumed, which I suppose I’ll do for them.
So according to my research — because even though I am a big iced coffee guy, I actually have no idea what a Biscoff latte is — the coffee they tried is is a sweet, indulgent drink combining espresso, steamed milk, and a generous spoonful of Lotus Biscoff spread (cookie butter). A Biscoff latte is often described as a “dessert in a glass,” featuring caramelized, spiced notes, and frequently garnished with crushed Biscoff cookies, whipped cream, or a drizzle of melted spread. Somewhere I’m imagining Brooks Orpik is shaking his head violently in disapproval.
Hutson ordered the drink at 11:07 am, nearly two hours before the Capitals’ 1 pm MT practice at Mammoth Ice Center on Wednesday afternoon.

Crazy Croffles, if you’re in the Salt Lake City area for a Capitals game in the future, is located at 158 S Rio Grande Street.
While at Boston University, Cole first started the coffee review TikTok with his fellow Cole in November 2025, garnering nearly 10k followers over the last 5 months. In the description, the pair ask people to give them places to review in Boston, which seems like something they should probably update since neither is there anymore. They describe themselves as “Professional Coffee Enthusiasts” with Hutty being a “Seasonal Coffee Review” guy and Eisy being the go-to “Black Cold Brew” reviewer.
Great work, Capitals Cole. More of this please and let me be the special guest if you ever come up to Frederick, MD.
