Puck is dropped.

Beauvillier and K’Andre Miller get tangled up in the neutral zone and the Hurricanes defenseman is smarting. He’s very slow to the bench.

3-0 Carolina Hurricanes

Beauvillier prevents goal four for the Hurricanes as he makes Jankowski muff a layup off the post.

At the end of regulation: The game is tied 3-3. Impressive standings point earned by the Caps, but moral victories won’t get them into the playoffs, only real wins will. They outshot Carolina 39 to 22 through three periods.
