The Washington Capitals will be without alternate captain Tom Wilson and defenseman Rasmus Sandin against the New York Rangers on Tuesday night.

Wilson is out with an illness, while Sandin misses out due to an upper-body injury.

The matchup with New York will be Wilson’s first missed game of the season and his first since he sat out against the St. Louis Blues on February 27, 2025, with an illness. Sandin has already missed five games this season due to an upper-body injury he suffered in October.
