Nearly as soon as one prospect’s streak ended, another’s began.

Hershey Bears forward Andrew Cristall extended his assist streak to seven games after helping fellow rookie Cam Allen score his first career AHL goal in Hershey’s 4-0 win over the Charlotte Checkers on Friday.

Cristall earned the secondary assist on Allen’s power-play goal, scored 3:32 into the first period to give Hershey a 1-0 lead. Cristall, at the half wall, hit Nicky Leivermann with a pass at the point. The Bears defenseman then found Allen wheeling into the right circle, where he beat Checkers goaltender Louis Domingue with a perfectly-placed shot to the far side.

Allen’s goal stood as the game-winner and came in his first game back since suffering an injury on November 20. Ivan Miroshnichenko, Henrik Rybinski, and Jalen Luypen also scored goals for the Bears.

For Cristall, the assist gave him 9 points in his last 7 games — all assists.
