The Hershey Bears won their third consecutive game on Friday after a big play by talented forward prospect Andrew Cristall.

During a four-on-three power play in overtime, Cristall cut to the center of the ice before hitting Calle Rosén with a pass at the far post for an easy put-in.

The goal gave Hershey a 3-2 win and marked Rosén’s first marker as a Bear after spending all of last season with the Colorado Eagles.

“I think just good patience by Cristall,” Rosén said postgame per the Bears. “You know, we had a few chances, didn’t really connect on it. But then he walks and sells the shot and [provided] basically an open net for me, so I can’t thank him enough for it.”

For Cristall, the apple marked his sixth point (1g, 5a) in his first eight games of his rookie AHL season. The Capitals’ 2023 second-round pick is on a three-game point streak, notching 4 points (1g, 3a) during that span.

The Bears also got two big plays in the second period from Bogdan Trineyev, who is evolving into one of Hershey’s best players.

Trineyev scored on a power move to the net, going to his backhand to beat Thunderbirds goaltender Vadim Zherenko.

He also intercepted a Thunderbirds pass and sprung Grant Cruikshank on a breakaway.

Trineyev has six points (3g, 3a) in eight appearances thus far this season.

Clay Stevenson earned the victory in goal, improving his record to 2-3-0 to go along with a 3.40 goals against average and .876 save percentage.
