A sword-wielding Brandon Duhaime terrorized his Capitals teammates before practice at MedStar Capitals Iceplex, Thursday.
In a [puts on sunglasses] Howl-o-ween prank for the ages, Duhaime dressed up as a werewolf and hid in an oversized storage box from Lowe’s, jumping out and surprising his teammates as they walked down to the entrance of the locker room. The night before, the team held its Halloween party on its off day, which may or may not have contributed to the prank’s success.
“I’m Brandon Duhaime and I’m going to scare the s*** out of my teammates,” the Capitals’ checking-line forward said in the Capitals’ social media video before eliciting one scream, a few frights, and one raised fist.
Nic Dowd appeared to be the most scared teammate, letting out a shrill scream and running away during his metaphorical loaded diaper moment.
Dylan Strome lost control of his body and hit the Heisman pose after Duhaime popped out of his box.

Other teammates like Charlie Lindgren — “Geez, Louise. Holy cow.” — and Anthony Beauvillier — “F***!!” — saw their lives flash before their eyes, while Trevor van Riemsdyk, Declan Chisholm, Aliaksei Protas, and Rasmus Sandin were mostly able to control their fear. Well, maybe not so much.
“Oh, you scared the s*** out of me,” a laughing Sandin clarified before offering his friend a hug.
Martin Fehervary, meanwhile, appeared completely unaffected by the sudden emergence of a werewolf, barely even glancing Duhaime’s way as he yelled.

Duhaime also managed to scare one of his favorite targets inside the locker room for pranks.
“Holy s***!” enforcer Tom Wilson said after clenching and making this face 😮.

“Big tough guy Tom Wilson!” Duhaime said, very pleased with himself.
Things almost turned violent when Duhaime tried to scare both Matt Roy and Dylan McIlrath as they walked in.
“GEEZUS,” McIlrath said as he backed up and put his fists up.
“I wasn’t gonna do it to you,” Duhaime clarified to McIlrath. “I thought you were gonna swing.”
