The Frederick Keys are hosting Hockey Night at the ballpark with the Capitals when they take on the Trenton Thunder on Friday, July 11.
The team will be handing out a Keys-Capitals collab Reverse Retro jersey koozie to the first 1,000 fans in attendance. The Capitals will be bringing along an unannounced alumni player, their mascot Slapshot, as well as members of their street team to help put on the festivities.
The giveaway koozie features the Capitals’ black alternate jersey design with the number 25 on the back. The screaming eagle logo on the front appears to be diving to catch a flyball or stopping a hotshot grounder.
The Keys will also be taking to Nymeo Field at Harry Grove Stadium wearing hockey-themed jerseys. The jerseys will then be auctioned off to benefit the National Foundation for Cancer Research.
There will also be a postgame fireworks show. Tickets to the game are still available at field seating, reserved seating, general admission, and suite level pricing.
The Keys play in the MLB Draft League after the reorganization of the minor leagues following the 2020 season. They were previously the Class A-Advanced affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles from 1989 to 2020.
