Andrew Cristall continues to have the best offensive season of any player in all of the CHL. The 20-year-old winger made his latest headline by assisting on two goals for the Spokane Chiefs in their 6-3 win over the Tri-City Americans on Saturday night.
The two assists saw Cristall become the first player in the WHL this season to cross the 100-point threshold. The Washington Capitals prospect has 101 points (37g, 64a) in 43 games for the Kelowna Rockets and Chiefs.
Cristall hit the century mark with just 6:51 remaining in regulation on Saturday. After entering Saginaw’s zone with the puck, he slipped a feed to Owen Martin, who beat goaltender Ryan Grout on the short side.
Cristall added his second point of the game after feeding linemate Shea Van Olm for an easy empty-net goal with 1:34 left in the final frame.
The 2023 second-round draft selection is the second player in the CHL overall to hit the mark, behind only Michael Misa of the OHL’s Saginaw Spirit. However, Cristall, who has played in seven fewer games, has a better point-per-game rate (2.35) than Misa (2.12).
Cristall’s previous single-season career high in points is 111 (40g, 71a), which he recorded with Kelowna last year. This season, he is on pace for 134 points (49g, 85a) if he plays in Spokane’s remaining 14 games.
