The Washington Capitals, winners of four in a row, are back 25.5 hours later for another game against the Philadelphia Flyers.

After throttling Torts’ young team 4-1 in the City of Brotherly Love, the Capitals will look to win both games of their early-season home-and-home with a victory at Capital One Arena.

The Capitals’ only change will be Logan Thompson returning to the net for his third start of the year.

Caps-Flyers game can be watched on TNT. Puck drop is shortly after 7:30 pm.

At intermission: More liveliness that period. The Flyers are outshooting the Capitals 19 to 15 after outshooting the Caps 16 to 9 in the period. The Flyers are leading in 5v5 attempts too, 31 to 27.

Poehling took another brutal shot block on the PK. He’s smarting again. This time it was his hand.
