The Toronto Maple Leafs are serious about winning a Stanley Cup, but their current uniform get-up might garner some snickers (and I don’t mean the candy kind).
The Leafs announced on Tuesday that they entered an advertising agreement with Oreo Cookies as the team’s new helmet partner. To tease the partnership, the Leafs removed all the O’s from their social media in the days leading up to the reveal.
“CASE CLOSED – We found the Missing Os at the practice rink!” the Leafs wrote. “Let’s celebrate @OREO as our new helmet partner. Stay Playful this Season Leafs Nation!”
The union now pairs Milk and Oreo as the team’s uniform advertisements for the 2024-25 season. Milk. And cookies. Like what Mom used to give you before bedtime when you were 4.

The Leafs’ jersey advertisement of “Milk” began during the 2022-23 season when Toronto entered an agreement with the Dairy Farmers of Ontario. The multi-year partnership was to “support healthy active living, community programming and access to hockey for players and fans everywhere.”
“Just as milk nourishes healthy bodies, Ontario’s dairy farming families proudly nourish healthy communities, and that’s been the focus of our ongoing partnership with the Toronto Maple Leafs,” Cheryl Smith, CEO of Dairy Farmers of Ontario (DFO), said in a statement then. “Placing our Milk logo on the Leafs’ sweaters is a symbol of this shared commitment, and of milk’s role in building strong bodies and healthy lives.”
The contrasts are delicious here, you gotta say.
