The first-round of the 2024 NHL Entry Draft aired live from a sold-out Sphere in Las Vegas, Nevada, Friday night. The event likely marks the final time the league holds the ceremony in-person where representatives of all 32 teams are at the same location. Starting in 2025, team brass will remain in their home markets.

Rounds 2 through 7 will air on Saturday beginning at 11:30 am (EST).

The San Jose Sharks drafted Macklin Celebrini with the first overall pick after winning the NHL Draft Lottery in May. The Chicago Blackhawks picked defenseman Artyom Levshunov second and the Anaheim Ducks drafted forward Beckett Sennecke to complete the top three.
