Alex Ovechkin has goals in three consecutive games after finding the back of the net against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Wednesday.

The goal was Ovechkin’s 844th of his illustrious career, bringing him to within FIFTY of Wayne Gretzky for the NHL’s all time goals record. FIFTY. 50.
Ovi’s goal came 9:57 in the second period to trim the Leafs’ lead to 2-1. John Carlson and Tom Wilson registered the assists.
