Nic Dowd and Martin Feherary appear likely to play against the Edmonton Oilers, Wednesday.

Both players were removed from injured reserve by the Washington Capitals early this evening. The move was visible on the NHL’s media website.

“We’ll make sure that everything is good this afternoon and then make a decision tonight,” Carbery said after the morning skate at Rogers Place. “We’ve got some guys potentially coming back in the lineup tonight.”

Dowd has missed the last nine games due to an upper-body injury while Fehervary has missed 10 due to a lower-body issue.

Both players took line rushes at Tuesday’s skate, but it’s unclear where they’ll appear in the lineup if they do play.

With both players back, the Capitals are now carrying a full 23-man roster.
