The Washington Capitals jumped on the ice for their morning skate on Friday before they’re set to host the Philadelphia Flyers at Capital One Arena.

Tom Wilson was present at the session after he missed Thursday’s practice due to what the team called personal reasons. Head coach Spencer Carbery announced that he would be good to go against the Flyers after previously being unsure if Wilson would be available.

Wilson’s spot in the lineup, right wing on the team’s top line, was filled by rookie winger Ivan Miroshnichenko during line rushes on Thursday. Wilson will slide back into that spot against the Flyers with Alex Ovechkin on the other flank and Hendrix Lapierre down the middle.

The big forward will look to hopefully jump-start his 2024 as he has had a rough start to the calendar year. In 24 games since New Year’s, Wilson has recorded just six points (3g, 3a) and in his last 16 games, just one goal.
