No Nicklas Backstrom, major lines shake-up for Game Three

Not a huge surprise, but Nicklas Backstrom will not play in Game Three. Backstrom is in the concussion protocol since suffering a hit from Anders Lee in Game One. He participated in some of practice on Saturday.

And now there are some major changes to the lines.

From Samantha Pell of WaPo:

With Backstrom out, here are the lines:

Ovechkin – Kuznetsov – Wilson
Vrana – Eller – Oshie
Hagelin – Pinho – Kovalchuk
Panik – Dowd – Hathaway

Dillon – Carlson
Orlov – Jensen
Fehervary – Gudas

Holtby

That’s Michal Kempny, Jonas Siegenthaler and Travis Boyd out, and Martin Fehervary and Brian Pinho in. Thank you to Samantha Pell for being such a great reporter. Subscribe to her paper.

Puck drop at noon-ish.
