Shane Gersich was one of the Capitals’ final cuts and just missed out on being a part of the team’s Phase 4/2020 playoffs roster.
But that doesn’t mean Gersich is down on himself. The 2014 fifth-round pick is already back in the gym working out for next season and he’s even showing that he has the potential to be a two-sport star.
Gersich exhibited his gymnastics skills to his trainer at FAST Athletics in Minnesota and I’m legitimately impressed.

Gersich does a cartwheel and then two backflips consecutively.
Sure, he’s no Simone Biles (who is though?), but maybe this could be enough to get him a nod on the US Men’s Gymnastics team.
With his tiny size and big strength, he’d probably be great on the Still Rings too.
