Following the success of the Tom and Halle Wilson bobblehead (purchase here – only 100 remain), FOCO has created a bobblehead of Washington Nationals ace Max Scherzer with his four rambunctious dogs: Bo, Rafi, Rocco, and Zou.
The bobblehead was first released for preorder earlier today. The Scherzer dogs bobblehead is a limited edition out of 2020.

It’s the details of this bobblehead that you truly need to appreciate. Scherzer, who has a condition called heterochromia iridis, has two different colored eyes: his left iris is brown and the right iris is blue. Two of Scherzer’s dogs, Bo and Rocco, have the same condition. The bobblehead was painted to reflect the condition of the three Scherzer family members.
Here’s a close up of Max and Bo’s eyes.
And here’s the Scherzers in real life with their pups.
Another boy with 2 different colored eyes is in the house! We think Rocco is GSP mix. This guy has energy! pic.twitter.com/OIatQZAwKW

The Scherzers are huge animal lovers. Scherzer’s wife Erica is on the board of directors for the Humane Rescue Alliance while Max has shot a PSA for the non-profit in the past. In 2017, the couple paid adoption fees for animals displaced by Hurricane Harvey. The couple also has two cats.
The Scherzer bobblehead follows the release of the Tom Wilson and Halle bobblehead that hit the web in early April and is expected to sell-out shortly. A portion of the Tom and Halle bobblehead benefits Wolf Trap Animal Rescue. RMNB suggested the idea to FOCO and reviewed and offered design feedback. FOCO also released new dog bobbleheads Monday for Milwaukee Brewers star Christian Yelich and Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl-winning quarterback Patrick Mahomes that follow the same template.
Other Nationals’ merch to recently hit FOCO’s store includes the new masks that players and manager Davey Martinez are wearing during games. New Nationals’ gaiter scarves have also been released.
The gameday masks are available for the Baltimore Orioles too.
