Washington Capitals forward TJ Oshie was mic’d up during Phase 3 Training Camp earlier this week. In a nearly four-minute video, the Osh Babe shows off his ridiculousness.
Placed on the Capitals’ second practice squad because he was unable to skate much during the coronavirus pandemic, Oshie begged for an oxygen tank during practice and later asked head coach Todd Reirden if he could change off the ice early before the conclusion of a 40-second shift.
Laughing and joking the entire time, Oshie seems to be a joy to play with. He’s a glue guy, you guys!

Some of the highlights of the video include:
- A coach that sounds like Blaine Forsythe: “Hey, how are ya? Have fun.” TJ Oshie: “Always” [coughs] “I just puked in my mouth.”
- Oshie bonks into Travis Boyd and they have a big collision at neutral ice. “Are you okay??” Oshie asks.
- Oshie tells Radko Gudas “I was born to be a d-man.”
- “Can I get one of those linemen oxygen tanks?… Please?” A few seconds later Oshie asks head coach Todd Reirden for “some of that magic s#$%.”
- During a drill, Reirden tells his players they can change after 40 seconds. Exhausted, Oshie asks, “Can we change before that?”
- “Suck it, Legs.”
- Oshie swings and misses on a one-timer and giggles.
- Oshie’s continuous happy taunting of goaltender Vitek Vanechek.
- Before a drill, Oshie tells defenseman Michal Kempny “Let’s f*cking battle!”
- He tells Nic Dowd to “f*ck off” after losing.a faceoff.
- Oshie deflects a shot into the back of the net with the knob of his stick. “I think I broke my stick.”
In conclusion, “carney’s brutal.”
