Washington Capitals center Nicklas Backstrom is the latest star player on his way back to DC after returning to his home country during the coronavirus pandemic.

Backstrom was snapped in his window-side seat during his flight by former Caps teammate Andre Burakovsky.

“Good to see this Guy again @nicke19,” Burakovsky wrote in his Instagram Story. “Time to go back to work. Thanks Sweden for a good time.”

Nicky looks very happy to be spending nine hours on a flight with Young Dre – just like Marcus Johansson was.

Over the last few days, several Capitals players have made the long flight back over the Atlantic to extend their visas and join the Caps’ workouts at MedStar Capitals Iceplex including Dmitry Orlov, Martin Fehervary, and Vitek Vanecek.

Alex Ovechkin is also expected back from Miami very soon.
